Abstract

This chapter describes an application of a geographic information system to support hydrologic simulation of runoff on watersheds undergoing urban development. Described are modifications of the Soil Conservation Service runoff curve number method, for prediction of a new flood regime of watersheds undergoing land use and land cover changes such as urban development.
