A Continuous Simulation Technique for the Assessment of Infiltration Basins.

Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of a simulation technique that can be used to assess the performance of an infiltration basin facility. The developed model provides the necessary and quality linkage between the surface and groundwater regime, and allows for the continuous simulation of the basin which is required for a long-term site-specific design assessment. Simulation results from a conceptual infiltration basin design are presented and discussed for both a single and a multiple event hydrograph and pollutograph.
